a broken knee
a broken heart
and a pile of rejections
from potential employers, past lovers, & literary agents
the year finally ending
in a car crash on an icy road
so much of my year spent
basically
trapped (literally & figuratively)
&
alone (mostly emotionally)
fuck me
i hope 2023
is kinder.
