questioning authority

why
am i opposed
to doing
what i am
told
to do….
i’m not willing
to compromise
my beliefs
i’m not willing
to ignore
what my body
my heart
my mind
are telling me are right
i’m not willing
to give up
awareness
& instinct
to embrace
the bliss of ignorance
following
blindly….
i have questions
& even if
i never find the answers
i will not
stop
asking.

i belong to a rebel alliance & this is the question that was asked at our last meeting. “why am i opposed to doing what i am told….”
i don’t know if this answers it…but this is what i thought on the topic.

    This. Is. Beautiful.

It’s powerful and it’s saying you’re never going to back down on your beliefs because you stand firm in what you believe in that’s right. That is very empowering and I wish more could follow that mindset–to hold their own and embrace their own ideas, beliefs, and thoughts over the common prevalence of ignorance. Knowledge is everything if you know you can find it and if you openly seek it out. I love the message you communicate here, it’s impactful. ❤ ❤

      1. You’re welcome. I definitely can understand that, but the beauty of it all is that you’re expressing yourself in the way that you want to and are sharing it with the world. That takes a lot of courage to do that! In spite of any feedback you might receive, I think you should always keep writing and just doing that–being yourself. 😀

        Have a Happy New Year.
